2023 Wombwell 5

The weather for the 2023 race was good and there was a great turn-out from local clubs and beyond. The earlier start time meant that the traffic was, hopefully, lighter than previous years. Thanks to all the marshals and volunteers

2025 Race

Despite the early morning threat of snow, the weather behaved itself for another great race day. There were 414 finishers from 44 different clubs; 182 ladies and 232 men.

2024 Race

After a very wet night, Sunday cleared up nicely for the race. Unfortunately the path from the finish line to the goody bags was wet and muddy. Apologies to all but we tried to choose the least wet route so finishers were not interfering with runners on their last lap of the track Thanks for your understanding.

The route had to be changed at short notice because the road works on Illsley Road were not completed in time. However, the alternative route, which was the same distance within a few yards, was fine. Also, to improve safety for both runners and marshals, we asked runners to stay on the pavement from the bottom of Upperwood Road back to the stadium.

Thanks to all the marshals and volunteers for their sterling efforts.
